Writing Club
Our writing club aims to inspire creativity and bring forth linguistic intelligence in its students. Writing shouldn’t be a chore, but rather a way to destress and imagine. Additionally, students will be trained and assisted with entering to win numerous English competitions including the Scholastic Writing Awards, Poetic Power, TeenInk, and Ocean Awareness. Furthermore, students will be educated on various forms of writing, vocabulary, and themes.

Ashley Lin, Founder and President
Ashley Lin is in the class of 2025 at Ward Melville High School. Aside from English and writing being her passion, she also enjoys running, scrapbooking, watching thrillers, and listening to Keshi and Taylor Swift. She looks forward to starting an English club at LIYD and hopes to inspire others to write as a passion as well. Ashley is also looking to bring more potential members to the National English Honors Society club at Ward Melville.
